Participation in Specialty Section Communities

Collaborate with fellow QA professionals who have a special interest similar to yours. Network and build your knowledge in your area of special interest. Each Specialty Section has its own online community on SQA Connect for discussion of relevant topics. Several sponsor sessions at the SQA Annual Meeting. Some collaborate on technical papers or webinars. Participation in Volunteer and Appointed Committees

Discounts on registration fees for meetings and training

Discounts on registration fees could offset the cost of membership dues. For example, the discount on a full Annual Meeting registration and a Quality College course is over $250 (dues are just $195)! Enjoy the special registration prices in addition to the benefits of networking with your peers!

Eligibility for the Mentoring Program

The SQA Mentoring Program gives members the opportunity to grow professionally by establishing a temporary partnership with another member, as a mentee or mentor. A number of participants have found it useful to keep up the partnership on an informal basis after completing the program. You can now join this program at any time of the year! Members have access to post job openings and résumés and to browse the postings on SQA Connect, our member community platform.

e-Newsletters and technical papers

Quality Matters e-newsletters are published six times per year and offer feature articles on QA topics, regulatory hot topic links, updates on the activities of SQA Specialty Sections and Committees, and technical papers published as special supplements to the newsletter. Discounts on Professional Registration Fees

SQA Active members receive a $175 discount and Outreach members receive a $425 discount on exam fees for the Registered Quality Assurance Professional (RQAP) credential. Both Active and Outreach members receive an $80 discount on re-registration fees for the RQAP credential.

Voting privileges

Active members only. Members who have joined in the Active category are eligible to vote for Board members and members of Elected Committees, and to vote on proposed Bylaw amendments. 

Elected positions

Active members only. Members who have joined in the Active category are eligible to stand for election to the Board of Directors and/or Elected Committees.
